Apple iPhone 2.0 Features

Since the release of the iPhone, I haven’t had anything to complain about. I’ve been completely satisfied with what my iPhone is capable of. After all, I did buy it based on the original specs. Now, with the influx of surprisingly attractive iPhone competition (LG Prada, HTC Touch, LG Voyager, Samsung SGH-i718), the iPhone’s shortcomings are more visible! Here’s a list of features I expect to be a part of the “iPhone 2.0″ firmware update:

  • Flash Support. FINALLY!! - I see no point in having a Safari web browser if I cannot view the web the way my MacBook Pro does. I need to be able to show my buddies the flash videos I made of my previous girlfriends. Smile, honey! You were great! Aren’t you glad you shaved it all off that time?
  • 3G support - I’ll admit… I’m always on MySpace. I need to have access available at any given time durring the day and I need it to be fast. My time is more valuable then most people’s. EDGE speeds are a joke and it’s tacky.
  • Complete YouTube Access - If you’ve already got a featured video on YouTube, you can expect more hits. Especially from iPhone users. FEATURED and INSANELY POPULAR videos are the ONLY ones available for viewing on the iPhone! How does Skylar, a 14 year old boy from Vermont, expect to get hits on his video in which he confesses his homesexual obsession with his Dad’s golfing buddies? I’d watch it…
  • Multimedia Messaging Support - If I get another damn multimedia message form someone I will probably feed bleach to a small child (intense, I know). To view a multimedia message you have to first write down a 42-digit code and a corresponding 42-digit password. Then, you have to go to a website, utilizing the SLOW ASS speeds of the EDGE network. Then, you have to CORRECTLY type the 42 digits into the code box and skip down to the password box and repeat. VIOLA! You have just recieved the same damn animated GIF of Scooby Doo banging Velma that you got from over 30% of the people in your address book. THANK GOD!
  • GPS Navigation - The new features of Google Maps are nice, but if I’ve got 3G speeds, it would be nice to have GPS navigation. I always seem to get lost in the worst parts of town; you know, the places where one-story houses are in abundance, where people shop for groceries at Wal-Mart, and where the only car dealerships are Ford, Chevrolet, and Honda. Eww, GROSS! I need to shower just thinking about it.

What features do you want to see in the new update? And if you have any knowledge of official update details, let me know!
